Ultrasound imaging can be integrated into nearly every aspect of aesthetic practice. It allows clinicians to assess facial vascularity before injectable procedures, enhancing the safety and precision of filler placement. Ultrasound can also be used to measure skin thickness to more accurately deliver energy-based treatments for acne scarring or tissue tightening. By quantifying skin and subcutaneous fat, practitioners gain objective data to guide treatment planning and evaluate outcomes beyond before-and-after photos. In addition, ultrasound can support procedures such as sclerotherapy and venous access. It also enables the evaluation of filler composition and complications, providing clearer insight than visual assessment or educated guessing alone.

Dr. Roya Zarmehr Zamin is an Aesthetic Physician practicing in Dubai and Iran, and the owner of DRZmedaesthetics Academy in Canada and Dubai. She has over 31 years of experience in medicine, covering clinical research, medical devices, and healthcare.
For the past 21 years, Dr. Zarmehr Zamin has been practicing as an aesthetic physician, continuously expanding her expertise in medically led aesthetic treatments, complication management, and ultrasound-guided aesthetic procedures.
She has developed outstanding skills in ultrasound-guided aesthetic medicine over the past 5 years, particularly in facial anatomy, aesthetic assessment and treatment, and complication management, training thousands of aesthetic physicians, dermatologists, surgeons, and maxillofacial specialists.
Dr. Zarmehr Zamin has been an International Aesthetic Expert and Trainer, and a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Neauvia since 2021.
She has also been a Global Expert for Clarius Ultrasound since 2023 and is honored to be part of the IMCAS faculty since June 2024. In January 2025, she was appointed as a Medical Advisor for Clarius Mobile Health Corp.
